◆ Joint development by Japanese and Western confectionery shops
Due to the complexities of producing quality confections on a traditional Japanese assembly line, we reached out to a well-known confectionery factory to meticulously examine and inspect the process until production was achieved. Steadfastly replicating Akasaka Aono’s original recipe under the supervision of our master artisan, we can now deliver these treats to our customers. It’s a completely new type of financier, fragrant with our shop’s proud feature, kinako (roasted soybean flour).
During its development, finding the right kinako that paired well with the financier was challenging. Our master artisan went through numerous trials and errors, innovating to create this ‘special’ kinako.
This financier has a moist texture, interwoven with the robust flavor of kinako. The fusion of French and Japanese tradition has resulted in a richly flavored wagashi. With a longer shelf life, it’s perfect for gifts and sending to distant locations. We are confident in presenting it as a new ‘Tokyo souvenir’ from Aono.
