This confection is a carefully baked sweet, wrapping a whole candied chestnut within a moist chestnut paste dough/shell. It offers a mysterious delight where the texture, crumbling on the tongue like cake, coexists with the ‘rashisa‘—the distinctive character—of candied chestnuts in Wagashi. We are pleased to present to you the new taste of Aono.

 

 

◆ Japanese & Western Techniques
Implementing advanced technology, we have launched an entirely new type of Mont Blanc by adding the experience of Wagashi (Japanese confectionery) making that has been passed down through generations at Akasaka Aono. It’s a new flavor from Akasaka Aono that can be enjoyed in both Japanese and Western cultures.

◆ Select Production Line
Traditionally, it was difficult to commercialize using only the Japanese confectionery line due to the manufacturing process. However, by reaching out to well established confectionery factories scattered across the country, we secured a select production line. It is a product meticulously examined and inspected until production was achieved, manufactured based on Akasaka Aono’s recipes, and delivered to customers under the supervision of our master artisan.
